Indraprasth: An International Journal of Culture & Communication Studies (ISSN 2278-7208) is a peer-reviewed, annual scholarly journal published by the University School of Humanities and Social Sciences (USHSS) at Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, New Delhi. Established in 2012, the journal promotes interdisciplinary research in culture, communication, media studies, humanities, and social sciences, and follows a rigorous double-blind peer-review process. Seven volumes have been published to date, reflecting the journal’s ongoing commitment to academic excellence.
The journal provides a rigorous interdisciplinary platform for scholarly engagement with culture, literature, communication, society, and contemporary human concerns. It brings together critical perspectives that interrogate the evolving intersections of art, language, power, identity, and social change in both Indian and global contexts.
The journal publishes original research articles that reflect diverse theoretical approaches, methodological rigor, and critical depth across disciplines such as literary studies, cultural studies, gender studies, media and communication studies, philosophy, and social theory. Indraprasth is committed to fostering dialogue between classical texts and contemporary realities, foregrounding issues such as modernity, marginalization, gender, violence, ecology, space, translation, and representation.
Each issue of the journal curates thematically rich and intellectually diverse contributions that respond to pressing socio-cultural and political challenges of the present time. The journal emphasizes the ethical responsibility of scholarship in an age marked by global crises—including war, migration, pandemics, ecological degradation, and technological transformation—and views literature and culture as vital sites of reflection, resistance, and meaning-making.
Guided by an international editorial board comprising eminent scholars from India and abroad, Indraprasth upholds high academic standards and encourages innovative, critical, and inclusive research. It aims to serve researchers, academicians, students, and intellectuals seeking to understand and articulate the complex dynamics of contemporary human experience through the humanities and social sciences.
