Author Guidelines

Before submitting to Indraprasth: An International Journal of Culture & Communication Studies, authors must ensure that their submission adheres to the following requirements:

1. Manuscript Types Accepted

We accept:

  • Research Articles

  • Conceptual Papers

  • Essays

  • Review Papers

  • Book Reviews

  • Case Studies

  • Interdisciplinary work in literature, culture, media, and communication

2. Submission Format

  • Submissions must be in MS Word (.doc/.docx) format.

  • Manuscripts should follow the MLA 8th edition referencing style.

  • Use inline citations and a Works Cited list at the end.

  • Font: Times New Roman, 12 pt, double-spaced.

  • Book reviews must include:

    • Book cover image

    • Author’s name

    • Full title

    • Publisher, year, ISBN, page count, price

3. Word Limits

  • Research Papers: 3500–5000 words

  • Book Reviews: 1500–2000 words

4. Ethical Responsibilities

  • Submissions must be original and not under review elsewhere.

  • Authors must obtain permission to use copyrighted material (images, tables, datasets, appendices).

  • All listed authors must consent to authorship.

  • Where applicable, research must comply with relevant ethical standards.

5. Peer Review

All manuscripts undergo double-blind peer review.
The editorial team may desk-reject submissions that do not meet the minimum academic or formatting standards.

6. Additional Documents Required

  • Author bio (60–100 words) with institutional affiliation

  • Declaration of originality

  • Permission letters (if applicable)

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements:

  • This submission conforms to the Author Guidelines.

  • The submission is original, unpublished, and not under review elsewhere.

  • All references in the manuscript are accurate and complete.

  • All tables, figures, and visual material are properly numbered and captioned.

  • Permission has been obtained to reproduce any copyrighted material (images, datasets, documents, etc.).

  • All listed authors have approved the manuscript and agree to its submission.

Book Reviews

Reviews of recently published books in the fields of literature, culture studies, media studies, and communication. Book reviews should be 1,500–2,000 words in length, include full bibliographic details of the book reviewed, and follow MLA 8th Edition style. Book reviews are evaluated by the Editorial Team and do not undergo external peer review.

Copyright Notice

Authors retain copyright of their work.
By submitting to Indraprasth, the author grants the journal the right of first publication.
Authors may reuse their published work with proper acknowledgment of the journal as the original place of publication.

No article processing or publication fees are charged.
The journal does not permit simultaneous submission of manuscripts to other publications.
