Worlds Apart: Myth, Science and Fiction in Sukanya Datta’s Short Stories
Abstract
The paper delves into how Indian Science Fiction, despite being contoured by the epistemic framework(s) of science and literature, not only evolves unique strategies of engagement with mythology and folklore, but also negotiates with different kinds of scientific traditions and knowledge(s) –whether ‘indigenous’ or ‘Western’.
