Interpreting Duality of the Self and the Other in Anita Desai’s Where Shall We Go This Summer?
Abstract
This paper evaluates the duality-ridden existential conflict of human relationships in the light of the Sartrean framework of being-for-others/the self and the Other and allied conceptual instrumentalities thereof namely the look, intersubjectivity, constitutive otherness etc.
